This literary competition, the 2018 ScreenCraft Cinematic Book Competition, looks for book manuscripts with cinematic adaptation potential. Figured I’d give it a shot. “My Life as a Sperm” hits all the marks for something like that. If I placed well, maybe it would motivate me to finish that long time coming sequel that lurks almost-finished somewhere in the depths of the \CREATIVE folder on my computer.

I find that I’ve made the quarterfinals, selected from over 1200 submissions. Semi-final winners will be announced in February.

Well, now I have no excuses, do I?
